The debate between Christine Palm and Bob Siegrist held at Valley
Regional High October 17th demonstrates why Christine Palm should be
elected our 36th District’s State Representative. This remarkable debate
was an example of unusual civility. The moderators did an outstanding job.
The candidates kept to the agreed schedule and clearly listened to each
other. Most importantly their views, ideas and knowledge were easily
compared side-by-side. In short the candidates did not engage in personal
attacks, and stuck to the issues. They are both to be commended and
thanked for a successful debate. Indeed, every voter in our district would
be well served to view this one hour exchange by simply searching on
YouTube for “36th General Assembly District Debate” and then skip to the 9
minute mark.
I am writing this letter to strongly and emphatically endorse Christine Palm.
The debate shows clearly that Christine Palm has comprehensive
knowledge and life experience pertinent to our critical issues. She has
outstanding analytical skills and extensive legislative experience.
Remember, she has served for 10 years as a policy analyst for the General
Assembly and has drafted laws that have been enacted with strong
bipartisan support. So legislators of both parties actually voted for laws
that Christine helped research, draft and argue their merits to General
Assembly Committees. Thus, it makes perfect sense that Christine
eventually chose to run for office. Clearly she can do what’s necessary,
while doing it better and more effectively than the incumbent and better
represent our district. If the debate doesn’t convince you check out her
endorsements at www.palmforstaterepresentative.org.
