One of our readers wrote to us, “As we celebrate Independence Day on July 4th let us not forget that our independence, freedom and our very country would not exist without journalism.”
He had just listened to the CBS Sunday Morning segment on the value of local community newspapers and commented that without Haddam Killingworth News, we would be sitting in darkness about many things that are happening in our town. He goes on to say, “I am grateful to you and all of your editors, writers and volunteers who have made an incredible contribution toward making Haddam a better place to live.”
