Paul McGuinness and Mike Sarlin are candidates for the Killingworth Planning and Zoning Commission, and we are fortunate to have them step up. I urge the voters of my town to support them with your vote on November 7th, Row A.

Paul McGuinness has been a member of the Planning and Zoning Commission for sixteen years.  Despite his busy schedule as a professional engineer and family man, Paul attends every meeting and brings a level of expertise that is invaluable to P & Z.  Our members rely on Paul’s practical experience, insight, and judgement to help guide us through complicated decisions. We can always rely on Paul to know the history and nuances of every application.

You could not ask for a better first-time candidate for Planning and Zoning than Mike Sarlin. Chief among the good work Mike has done was help preserve Deer Lake from development.  As the treasurer for the board of directors of Pathfinders, Mike and his team worked tirelessly to raise over four million dollars to purchase the property.

Mike’s life experience includes serving as chief information officer and vice president for AIG, strategic planner at ESPN, consultant to The Phoenix, and program manager overseeing a nationwide natural food distribution business. With over 20 years in Killingworth, Mike understands the importance and commitment of being a member of this commission and how critical the work is to Killingworth.

Killingworth needs both Paul McGuinness and Mike Sarlin on P & Z.

Tom Hogarty, Killingworth

(Tom Hogarty is Vice Chair of the Killingworth Planning and Zoning Commission)
