Today I write to express my earnest support for Cinzia Lettieri for State Representative for the 35th Connecticut House District.

Having come to know Cinzia over the course of her campaign, I know that she will be a tireless worker for the people of our communities and a strong voice for the district in Hartford. She is a teacher and an advocate whose empathy and ability to connect with others are attributes I believe are key in elected officials at any level. But with the challenges we face as a society, they are more important now than ever.

Having grown up and returned to our district, she understands where we have come from, where we are, and where we can go from here. She is committed to protecting our environment, which we all cherish and enjoy here on the shore. She understands how our local economies work and will balance the needs and responsibilities of development with the same environment we depend on. And as a local, she knows how rising costs are constraining all of us from living our fullest lives and attaining our vision of our future, but she will work with us to build that better future.

And I know that she will be able to do the work and learn and be an impactful voice in Connecticut because she is a teacher. She holds a special commitment to our future through her chosen profession, shaping and teaching our children to be all that they can be.

That commitment to learning and growth are what I see driving her in this race for the 35th district. And that commitment is why I am proud to support her for State Representative.
