I’m writing to add my voice to the rising chorus of people endorsing Bob Siegrist for the 36th District State Representative. (This is my personal endorsement and not an official endorsement from the First Selectman or Board of Selectmen.)
As many of you know, Bob was our representative from 2017 – 2019. He worked tirelessly to support Haddam. His record speaks to this dedication. Bob had a 100% voting record; he never missed a vote. Adding to this, he never missed a committee meeting.
He fought to protect the Education Cost Share (ECS) grants when Governor Malloy proposed major cuts to them. This grant helps us pay for our share of the school costs.
He worked hard to help get funding for the Tylerville water project, bringing safe drinking water to approximately 100 residences and businesses. As a first responder, I really appreciate his role in securing much needed upgrades to the Valley Shore 911 Emergency Dispatch Center. His efforts have made us all safer.
Bob accomplished a lot in his short two years as our representative in Hartford. I’m sure he’ll do even more for us when we return him to the legislature. Please join me in supporting him.
