More than 250 people showed up at the old HES building to talk about potentially spending $1 Million on the roof of that building, and about the town’s vision for the future of that site.
Exactly 10 people from the public showed up at the first Community Conversation on RSD 17’s Master Plan for our school system with a price tag of more than $100 Million, despite the fact that the information about these meetings has been fully covered in our local paper, Haddam Killingworth New.
Why are people not participating? What is your excuse? Did you not know this was happening? Do you not care about how $100 million in new taxes will be spent by RSD 17? Is it OK for the Board of Education to make decisions based on the input of 10 people?
The next Community Conversation is being held as a virtual meeting on June 28, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. The link provided by RSD17 is: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89226766098
