(November 14, 2023) — Congratulations to the very talented artists at Haddam Killingworth Middle School, under the direction of their Art teacher, Isabel Reina.The students participated in the Killingworth Lions Peace Poster Program. The theme this year was “Dare to Dream.” The students were presented with a certificate and cash award. The winners are:
First Place: Mason Bergman (above photo, right, with Lions Club VP Ellen Oppenheimer)
Second Place: Rose McCane Cartwright (above photo, center left, with Lions VP Ellen Oppenheimer, Killingworth First Selectman-elect Eric Couture, Lions Club President Karen Vecchitto)
Third Place: Hayes Perley (above photo, center left, with family members)The first place poster winner will advance to the Lions district and compete among other Lions Club first place winners.The Killingworth Lions are most appreciative of the participation of the students, staff and families of HK Middle School, the Lions judges and our First Selectman-elect Eric Couture, who attended the awards ceremony.
