Power has now been restored on Green Hill Road and Route 81, but the Green Hill/Cow Pen Hill Road intersection remains closed because of downed communication lines.
If you are coming from the east, use Coughlin Road to access Cow Pen Hill Road, Cooks Lane, or Fawn Hill Road.
If you are coming from the west, you will have to detour onto River Road and go down through Clinton or up and around on Chestnut Hill Road, Route 80, and Route 81.
If you are coming from Madison, take I95 to Exit 63 instead of cutting through on Green Hill Road.
We expect the intersection to be closed until mid-day tomorrow, Friday, September 3.
Please drive slowly on all town roads, especially when detouring onto roads that don’t usually see much traffic.
