Killingworth Couple in Concert at The Buttonwood Tree December 8th

(November 24, 2023) — The Synergismus Duo will be performing at The Buttonwood Tree Performing Arts Center in Middletown on Friday December 8, 2023 from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.  The program features festive winter music including Handel-Halvorsen’s “Passacaglia,” Vivaldi’s “Winter” from The Four Seasons, Glière’s “Eight Duets,” music from Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker” and Handel’s “Messiah,” and a world premiere by Rick Sowash, with other pieces announced from the stage.  Tickets may be purchased at https://buttonwood.networkforgood.com/events/59674-synergismus-duo.
Synergismus is the premier violin-cello duo of Southern Connecticut. Its members, Millie and Randy Calistri-Yeh, live in Killingworth and have been playing together for more than thirty years in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.Millie Calistri-Yeh is first violinist in the Farmington Valley Symphony Orchestra and Connecticut Symphony Orchestra.  She was previously first violinist in the Livingston, New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and Penfield, New York Symphony Orchestra, and assistant concertmaster of the Finger Lakes Symphony Orchestra of New York. She studied violin at the Eastman School of Music under Stanley Chepaitis and Oliver Steiner.Randy Calistri-Yeh is assistant principal cellist of the Farmington Valley Symphony Orchestra and cellist in the Connecticut Symphony Orchestra.  He was previously principal cellist of the Livingston, New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, the Penfield, New York Symphony Orchestra and the Finger Lakes Symphony Orchestra of New York.
