The Killingworth Ambulance Association is seeking volunteers to provide improved service for the town.
Interested persons must be … or willing to become… Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) or Emergency Medical Responders (EMRs), with the KAA offering training for those who are not. The three month course begins Sept. 10, 2018 at a cost of $850, with the money reimbursed after one year of service.
The course is expected to run until Dec. 15, with Monday and Thursday evening classes (6:00-10:00 p.m.) and five Saturday sessions (8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.).
The KAA, which dates back to 1971, averages just under a call per day and offers flexible scheduling responsive to personal needs and changing plans. For more information, please contact the Killingworth Ambulance Association at 860-663-2450.
