(July 2, 2023) — Have you ever wanted to see the inside of a working honeybee hive? Can you tell the difference between a queen bee and a worker bee?
Climb into a bee suit and join Andrew Burnett from Drew’s Honeybees on Saturday, July 8, 2023, as he educates us about his working honeybee hives in the library’s back yard.
Andrew has been beekeeping for dozens of years. He maintains eleven apiaries in eastern Connecticut with about 120 hives.
We will hold two sessions, one at 11:00 a.m. and the other at 1:30pm. Children can attend the 11:00 a.m. session with an accompanying adult. Please sign up for only one session.
