Haddam Volunteer Fire Company responded to a two-car motor vehicle accident at 3:10 p.m., March 16 in front of Burr Elementary School on Killingworth Road. The Fire Company assisted with traffic control to maintain one lane of traffic. One patient was transported to Middlesex Hospital for evaluation.

At 5:10 a.m., March 21, crews were dispatched to Killingworth Road for a motor vehicle accident with rollover. The vehicle’s operator was not at the scene. HFVC personnel used absorbent material to capture leaking fluids, cleared road debris, and used a thermal imaging camera to search for possible occupants with nothing found.

At 9:40 a.m. Haddam was dispatched as mutual aid to Chester for a structure fire. Crews took Engine 1-13 and provided station and standby fire coverage at Chester Hose Company.

At 10:30 a.m., crews responded to Boulder Dell Road for a patient with respiratory distress, and at 11:15 a.m. HVFC was dispatched to Wig Hill Road for a malfunctioning residential fire alarm.

At 10 p.m. on March 21, HVFC was dispatched to Ivy Road for a CO alarm activation. Upon arrival, the home’s three occupants were outside the structure. All three were evaluated on scene by Haddam Ambulance Service. Firefighters metered the entire home with a CO detector and found zero readings.
