On Nov. 4, 2019 Sierra Statkiewicz was sworn into Haddam Volunteer Fire Company as a Probationary Member. She previously served with the HVFC Junior Division.
A recent graduate of Haddam-Killingworth High School, Sierra is already a certified Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) and is currently studying nursing at Simmons University in Boston.
“I first heard about the Junior Division through the town and local advertising, and wanted to get more involved,” she said. “I fell in love with the department, the people in it, and what I was doing, so I am making the commitment to both school and the department.”
