(April 18, 2023)—A patient was transported to Middlesex Hospital last night after crashing into a tree on Killingworth Road.
Shortly after 8:00 p.m. on April 16, 2023 Haddam Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to the scene where crews encountered a single vehicle in the woods near HVFC’s Station 3. A driver had swerved off the road and struck a tree. Airbags were deployed.
Upon arrival, crews found the driver conscious and alert. Crews worked to transport the patient onto a stretcher and into the ambulance.
Firefighters closed one lane of traffic during the incident. The accident is under investigation by the Connecticut State Police.
