(June 28, 2024) — Haddam Volunteer Fire Company responded to multiple calls following the severe storm that rolled through the state on June 26, 2024.

Firefighters went to three homes on Saybrook Road where homeowners were experiencing electrical problems. These problems were believed to be caused by a lightning strike in the area.

Crews also blocked a section of Wig Hill Road where a tree had fallen across the road, knocking down a power line and causing arcing and smoke.
