(October 22, 2023) — At 4:25 p.m. on October 22, 2023, Haddam Volunteer Fire Company and Haddam Volunteer Ambulance Service, Inc. responded to a motor vehicle accident on Route 9 North near exit 19 (Aircraft Road). A vehicle had become entangled in a wire guard rail near the median. The driver was evaluated on scene by EMS personnel and was transported to Middlesex Hospital.
Crews closed one lane of traffic during the incident.
HVFC also responded to a motor vehicle accident at 9:10 a.m. October 19, 2023 on Russell Road and at 4:45 p.m. October 18, 2023 on Route 9 South between exits 15 and 19.
HVFC has assisted patients at seven motor vehicles so far this month.
