(October 25, 2023)—At 8:20 a.m. on Oct. 25, Haddam Volunteer Fire Company responded to a motor vehicle accident involving two cars and a school bus. The crash took place near 510 Saybrook Road in Haddam.
The operators of all three vehicles and the children aboard the bus were evaluated by EMS personnel on scene. Two patients were transported to Middlesex Hospital via Haddam Volunteer Ambulance Service, Inc. and Hunter’s Ambulance Service, Inc.
Crews closed both lanes of Saybrook Road during the incident and rerouted traffic down Walkley Hill Road.
Under the supervision of the school’s principal, the children on the bus involved in the incident boarded a different bus and were taken to school.
The accident is under investigation with Connecticut State Police.
