(March 14, 2023)–Haddam Volunteer Fire Company sends our sincere condolences to the members of Haddam Neck Volunteer Fire Department who recently lost their former chief and Life Member Joseph Zaientz. Joe served HNVFD for 48 years as a firefighter and EMT and was chief between 1986-1988. He also served as assistant director of Haddam Emergency Management, president of Haddam Volunteer Fire Department, and founded the Haddam Shad Museum in 1994. Joe was named to the Haddam-Killingworth Hall of Fame in 2022.
