At 4:00 p.m. on Dec. 4, 2019, Haddam Volunteer Fire Company responded to a motor vehicle accident on Killingworth Road near Ivy Road. A driver, headed northbound on Killingworth Road, crossed the southbound lane, hit the curb, and struck a tree. Airbags were deployed.
The driver was alert and conscious upon arrival and was assisted out of the vehicle by fire personnel. The patient was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital via Haddam Ambulance Service.
Firefighters blocked one lane of traffic during the incident.
