On Oct. 11, members of Haddam Volunteer Fire Company participated in a vehicle-stabilization drill behind Station 3.
If a patient is trapped inside his or her vehicle following a motor vehicle accident, firefighters need to stabilize the vehicle before starting an extrication.
Firefighters worked in evolutions to practice using cribbing, airbags, rescue struts, chains, and straps.
