(July 18, 2023) — Haddam Volunteer Fire Company is celebrating Firefighter Richard “Rick” Annino’s 45 years of service to the Town of Haddam!
Rick joined HVFC July 6, 1970 and took Life Membership on August 7, 1995. Eight years later, Rick rejoined the company on July 7, 2003. He received his 40 years of service pin in June 2018 and his 45 years of service pin last month.
During his tenure with Haddam Fire, Rick served as Assistant Department Chief, Captain, Building Engineer, a member of the Board of Directors, the Pension Point Committee, Christmas Committee, Old Timers Night Committee, and the Merit Service Board.
In 2007, he was honored as both “Firefighter of the Quarter” and “Firefighter of the Year.”
Rick’s brother, Firefighter Ron Annino, celebrated his 50th anniversary with the company in 2020. Rick, Ron, and Firefighter Bob Kadrle also have served on the Haddam Memorial Day Parade Committee for more than 40 years.
