(June 28, 2023)—Members of the Haddam Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary are pleased to announce that the recipient of their $750 scholarship this year is Ryan Wiese. Ryan graduated from Haddam-Killingworth High School in June and plans to study Agricultural Science this fall at SUNY in Morrisville, New York. He is the son of Kevin and Jeannine Wiese of Haddam. Ryan is a member of the HVFC Junior Fire Department. His grandfather, Howard Wiese, who passed away in 2017, was a long-time, very active Haddam fireman. During Howard’s HVFC years, he served as the Company’s Fire Chief, as well as in other positions.
