Football 2023: HKHS Cougars Win Second Straight

(November 11, 2023) — Haddam-Killingworth High School (3-6) won its second consecutive game and had four different players score touchdowns against Capital Prep (5-4) on Senior Night, November 10, 2023.  The final score was HK 30, Capital Prep 20. Bryce Lacoss ran for one touchdown and threw for another to Joe Slane, while Tyler Napierkowski and Josh Frith each posted rushing touchdowns. Jamien Evans and John Moyher each had an interception to lead the Cougars’ defense.

“I thought we played our most complete game of the year, a total team victory,” said HK Head Coach Tyler Wilcox. “I’m so proud of the way the kids have stuck together and continued to work through some challenging times. They deserve a lot of credit.”
Before the game, the following HK senior football players were recognized: Peter Guarino, Lorenzo Rich, Jake DePino, Jacob McGoey, Luke Dooley, Cooper Pitts, and Wyatt Solosky.

The Cougars’ season concludes on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, against Valley/Lyme-Old Lyme in the annual Principals’ Cup game. Kickoff is at 6:30 p.m. at Valley Regional High School in Deep River.
