(September 25, 2022)— Ben Fagan caught three touchdown passes from Cole Brisson as the Cromwell/Portland co-op (3-0) defeated Haddam-Killingworth in a Pequot/Sassacus Division game played in Higganum on September 23, 2022. Brisson threw another touchdown pass to Ryan Rozich, and Emeka Yearwood scored on a 68-yard run. The Cougars (1-2) had six takeaways, including four fumble recoveries and interceptions by Tate Callender and Ryan Rafferty.
“We played an excellent football team tonight,” said HK Head Coach Tyler Wilcox. “Cromwell/Portland is not the defending Class S champs for nothing. I thought our kids played hard, especially in the first half. They never backed down.”
