(May 6, 2022)—On Sunday, May 15, 2022 the Haddam Shad Museum will have a live demonstration of planking shad on an open fire, with Jack Calhoun and Lenny Kochanowski, museum directors. There will also be Paint-A-Shad ornament for all ages! FREE and OPEN TO ALL!
The delightful Haddam Shad Museum is open on Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. until June 12, 2022. The museum, a true gem, tells the story of shad fishing in the Connecticut River Valley and the important role it has played in the development of the Connecticut and Haddam. Dr. Joe Zaientz, founder, and other local celebrity fishermen will be available to answer questions and tell you everything you need to know about shad.
