Haddam Senior and Social Services Monthly Report: October 2023

(November 9, 2023) — The following is the report for the month of October 2023 from Haddam Senior and Social Services. Please note: The Social Services report includes totals for the Municipal Agent. 

Senior and Social Services: 

Haddam Emergency Food Bank serviced a total of 52 adults and 14 children; Haddam Emergency Food Bank serviced no families this past month with gift cards to local restaurants and/or grocery stores in town. 

Haddam Emergency Fuel Bank serviced a total of seven families with fuel assistance: 5- Oil, 2- Electricity, 0- Pellets, 0- Propane 

Haddam Senior and Social Services serviced five individuals with paperwork assistance.

Haddam Social Services Clothing Bank serviced ninety people with clothing.

Haddam Social Services did no wellness checks in October 2023. 

Senior Van: 

The Senior Van serviced a total of seventeen medical appointments for the month of October, and an average of four seniors attended the weekly shopping trip for October 2023. 

Haddam Senior Center:

Open thirteen days during the month of October. 

The Haddam Senior Center distributed 106 Estuary Meals for the month of October 2023 and had 259 attendees at the Senior Center. There were six days in October where 20+ seniors attended the Center. 

16 seniors attended Pizza & Movie

15 seniors attended the Flu Clinic

21 seniors attended the RSV Clinic

9 seniors attended at Line Dancing
