U.S. Coast Guard Concert at Parmelee Farm 2:00 p.m. The Haddam & Killingworth Lions will present the second annual No tickets required; this is a free event. Bring your picnic basket, blankets and chairs, favorite beverages, your favorite people and come
and enjoy the concert band classics and Swinging Dixieland Jazz.
Life Size Candyland at Killingworth Library returns! 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. This year’s theme is “Under the Sea” and children ages 1 – 99 are invited to play games to win prizes, books (and of course candy) under the giant tent in the library’s back yard! This is a walk-in program, so no registration necessary.
Metal Detecting at the Thankful Arnold House Museum 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Join Higganum residents Rob Harlow and Curt Chadwick together with their merry band of “detectorists,” both young and old, as they investigate the museum grounds for artifacts from the past.

Pirates Ahoy – Killingworth Library Boys and girls ages 6-9, get ready to build catapults, create model pirate ships and treasure maps, and learn how to tie knots! Registration is required. Pirate Camp will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays – please sign up for either the morning OR evening session, not both in the same day. Morning sessions 11:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Evening Sessions 5:45 p.m. – 6:45 p.m. This program will be held under the tent in the library’s back yard. Adults must remain with children for the duration of the event.

Science Wednesdays for Tiny Thinkers – June 29 – August 3 Killingworth Library 10:30 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. This 6-week program is filled with hands-on activities! Children ages 2-5 will explore colors, discover what makes things float, learn about wind and rain, and have fun experimenting with gravity.
