KDTC Bake Sale will help Save Deer Lake 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

The Killingworth Democratic Town Committee will hold its annual bake sale on Saturday, June 18, at Recycle Way, and half of the proceeds will be donated to the Save Deer Lake campaign. Sweet and savory treats will include muffins, sourdough bread, sticky buns, cookies, fudge, jams, and more.

Concert with classical guitarist, Jason Vieaux 4:00 p.m. the Higganum Congregational Church will host one night of the Candlewood Farm Arts Foundation Concert Series featuring classical guitarist, Jason Vieaux. Jason began his musical training at the age of eight, after which he continued his studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music. In 1992, Vieaux was awarded the Guitar Foundation of America International Guitar Competition First Prize, the event’s youngest winner.

“The Laramie Project” Join Blue Fire Stage Company for a unique and immersive performance of “The Laramie Project,” June 23-25 7:00 p.m. at the former Haddam Elementary School. Blue Fire is excited to produce our first non-musical, and it is being performed as a staged reading. Each performance will be followed by a community conversation facilitated by our director, Frank Borrelli.
