The Higganum-Haddam Sportsman’s Club Mulch Sale 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. We will be offering Scotts bagged brown mulch for $3 per bag. The sale will be ONE DAY ONLY – RAIN OR SHINE (while supply lasts). The product will be loaded into customer vehicles, or we will provide delivery for an additional donation. Find us starting at 9:00 a.m. until we sell-out!

Coding for Kids –  Killingworth Library is excited to offer an introductory coding class, recommended for ages 8-13!

In this class, students will learn a variety of computer science concepts and will use Scratch, a block-based visual coding language developed by MIT for kids to create stories, do simple animations and even play with music and sounds.

The class will run from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Tuesdays starting May 3rd and running through June 7th. Registration is limited to five attendees, so please register in advance. All five will carry through the entire session. Call Us: 860-663-2000.

2022 HKHS and Killingworth Library Student Art Show and Silent Auction 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Killingworth Library transforms into an art gallery for the month of May, as we welcome back the HKHS Art Show! The public is invited to attend the kickoff reception on Thursday, May 5th, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., and the show itself runs through May 31st. All students participating in the art show will be eligible for a  Best in Show prize, and those willing to sell their art will be entered into a drawing for a single $500 scholarship from the library (sale proceeds benefit the library). Be sure to stop by and support these young and talented artists! Students interested in participating should contact one of the following HKHS Arts Instructors: Jason Cannan, Betsy Himmelman, Megan Martin.
