(January 3, 2023) — Long a fixture in the community, Haddam Cooperative Nursery School is pleased to announce its reopening in January with a special and all-new children’s program.http://haddamco-op.org or email registration@haddamco-op.org for more information. The Haddam Cooperative Nursery Association, Inc. is a non-profit inter-denominational and interracial organization.
Marsha Brielmann, the Director of the Haddam Cooperative Nursery School (HCNS), is thrilled to report that they will be returning to meet and serve the needs of the community with an Intro to Pre-K program specifically designed for two- and three-year-olds. “Our goal is to offer our students a high-quality learning experience in a healthy, safe, and delightful environment where children can grow and thrive,” Marsha states. “Our Introduction to Pre-K sessions (5 classes to a session) will meet once a week from January through May. Enrollment for our three- and four-year old Fall Nursery School program will also begin in January. Those classes will meet Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from September to June.” The Intro to Pre-K program’s goal is to provide children with a seamless transition to nursery school by allowing them to first explore and experience a preschool setting with a parent or caregiver by their side. Children will become familiar and feel secure in a classroom environment. This program will also introduce basic preschool activities such as circle time, songs, stories, and crafts. The children will be able to explore and play in the classroom and on the outdoor playground. The program will run at the school on Tuesdays starting January 10th from 9:00 to 9:45am.
