(October 28, 2022) —Are you ready for some spooky good Halloween fun? Join us at the Higganum Fall Festival featuring Grim’s Haunted House at the Community Center (7 Candlewood Hill Road, Higganum) on October 28, 29, and 30. Grim’s Haunted House will be running all three nights from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
A special fall festival is lined up for Saturday, October 29th. Start your day with the tractor parade leaving St. Peter Church parking lot at 10:30 a.m. Follow the parade to the Town Green and enjoy a concert by Rock Landing Band from Noon to 3:00 p.m. at the gazebo. Evening activities include a kids fair from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., trunk or treat from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and fire spinning shows by Fire ‘n’ Flow throughout the night. Various food options from a food truck and local town groups will be available.
New this year is a pumpkin carving contest; bring your pre-carved pumpkins to be put on display and participants will vote for their favorites. Prizes available for the best tractor, carved pumpkin, and decorated trunks – don’t miss out!
Proceeds from this event will be donated to the Haddam Food & Fuel Bank. The Liberty Bank Foundation will match 25% of the amount raised! Recommended donations of $5 will be collected for the Haunted House & Kids Fair. Trunk or Treat is a free event, but we will happily accept candy donations.
