Gardening Question? Ask a UConn Extension Master Gardener

Submitted by Gail Reynolds

(June 13, 2023) — As the weather warms and gardening and landscaping often dominate our outdoor time, please know that UConn Extension Master Gardeners are standing by to solve your gardening questions FREE!  We offer guidance on plant and insect identification, soil improvement, insect damage and design diagnosis, vegetable growing, plant suggestions for different locations, and much more.

Insects should be secured in containers with lids. Plant specimens can be in plastic bags or loose.  Be prepared to describe growing conditions, pesticide or fertilizer use, and other environmental questions.

The Master Gardener Office at the Middlesex County Extension Center at 1066 Saybrook Road in Haddam is open from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Stop by with questions (and samples) or send questions and photos to MiddlesexMasterGardeners@uconn.edu.  Contact us by phone at 860-345-5235.
