(July 26, 2022) — The farmers market season has reached its halfway point, but what better time to announce that the market will host a food truck every Friday for the remainder of the season! Along with baskets of fresh produce from Bogue Farms and Walden Farms, the market offers an array of local vendors with items that range from baked goods, fresh bread and cookies, spices, oils and vinegar, fudge and chocolates, kettle corn, locally-made iced teas, and authentic Italian sauces and pasta. Alongside our food vendors, we proudly feature local jewelers and metalsmiths, crocheted items, art, signs and gifts, soaps and candles, and many town organizations, like the Haddam Historical Society, Brainerd Memorial Library, the Haddam Sustainability Committee, the Haddam Garden Club and the Haddam Volunteer Fire Company, are also among the market exhibits.
Our remaining 2022 market schedule is as follows, complete with themed days, live music, and food trucks. Come to the market every Friday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the former Haddam Elementary School. “Dope Fried” Foods Truck features sandwiches, chicken Tikka rolls, dumplings, wontons, samosas, fries and slaw! “Get Stuffed” Food Truck features burgers, lobster rolls and lobster grilled cheese sandwiches or BLT wraps, steak or chicken sandwiches, salads, kicked-up grilled cheese, hot dogs and clam chowder. “Tacos Flores” offers a variety of tacos (fish, steak, pork, chicken, beef, veggie), nachos, and an array of salsas.
