(July 22, 2020) — Dandy is just over 1 year old. She is a bully mix who is the sweetest thing you have ever met. She loves everyone she meets – people, dogs, cats.
She gets along great with other dogs and every one she meets. She greets visitors at her foster family’s home with a wagging tail and warm greetings. She is still getting used to manners and may jump when greeting a new friend.
Dandy is great with 4-legged friends both dogs and cats. She does like to play with cats so must be with a dog tolerant cat. She is a bug hunter. Gonna get me that fly!
She is very patient when she eats her meals. She knows to sit and wait and will eat when you let her know it’s time. She is getting really good taking treats from your hand but sometimes needs to be reminded but that’s becoming less frequent. She also has become great while you’re eating dinner she doesn’t go for your food or try to scavenge anymore she just sits patiently and lets you enjoy.
She would do better in a home with older children who aren’t walking tornadoes. She is extremely tolerant though and if she does get uncomfortable will go in her crate and relax with a toy.
She is very good about cues and letting you know when she needs to go out especially once she learns where she leaves from. She tends to do her business right after exiting her crate and usually likes to go out every couple hours.
