Meet Handsome Bishop!
This poor guy is way overdue to find a wonderful forever home. His foster family loves him, but he is so deserving of a totally terrific forever!
Bishop’s ideal home would be with an adult family experienced with the breed (he is a pit bull type dog), and a home where someone is there a good deal of the time. A retired person/couple, or someone who works from home, would be great for him. Bishop is a dog who is happiest when he’s with his person/people.
He also will be happiest as an only pet. Although he can get along with some dogs after slow introductions, Bishop can be picky about his doggy friends. He is especially not a fan of high energy, “in-your-face” dogs. He is not reliably good with cats, so he will need a feline-free home.
Bishop is a young dog – only about 2-1/2 years old. He loves cuddling 🙂 He would love playing in a fenced yard, although a fenced yard is not an absolute requirement. He will enjoy going on walks – even hikes. He is a big fan of food – he will do pretty much anything for a cookie 🙂
Bishop came to Furry Friends Rescue as an owner surrender, from a family who had rescued him from a not-so-great situation and then found themselves unable to keep him. Since being in the rescue, he has been in several foster homes. They want his next move to be to his truly forever home – it is not fair to Bishop to ask him to constantly transition from one home to another.
With some patience and given time to settle in and relax in a new environment, Bishop will be your one true, loyal, lovable forever best friend. He is a dog who has a lot of love to give, and who loves receiving love as well <3
Furry Friends want to set Bishop up for success. His foster and trainers will work with the family to ensure a smooth transition.
