Find a Fur Baby: A Plea to Adopt Princess

Submitted by Judith Levin

(June 30, 2023) — I am reaching out to all our wonderful readers out there for help. I had posted this poor dog a few times now (months), and Princess still cannot seem to get a home of her own, through no fault of hers. I just do not understand why.

Think if you were her and you see other dogs leaving the shelter with their new families while you sit and hope that the next person will look at you and say, “Let’s go home.”  How awful it is to be passed over repeatedly. It makes me cry.

This beautiful girl is an eleven-year-old Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua mix (with some Corgi in there as well). She weighs twenty-five pounds and is just the right size to pick up and carry around like a child.

Princess came to Protectors of Animals after her elderly owner was no longer able to care for her. She is quite the social butterfly and wants to meet and greet everyone she sees. She is a happy little girl who likes to go on walks and car rides but is also happy to just curl up next to you and watch a movie. Princess does not mind other dogs while out on walks, but at home just wants to be the queen. All attention goes to her. Children eight years of age and older would be considered best for her.

Princess does have very manageable medical needs that Protectors of Animals would be happy to discuss with you. To learn more information about her, please contact her adoption counselor Tracey at tracey.d@poainc.org.

Please. Will you be willing to open your heart to this poor little thing and give her the love she so deserves?
