Election 2024 Candidate Profile: Jeffery Duigou

Editor’s Note: The candidates for State House and State Senate were given the opportunity to send HK-Now.com and Haddam Killingworth News a 450-word response to the question: “What do you bring to the table as a candidate, and what issues do you plan to focus on as a state legislator?” The statement below is from Republican State Senate Candidate Jeffery Duigou, who is seeking election in the 33rd Senate District. The candidate’s reply is unchanged from the original as submitted. So, what does Jeffery Duigou bring to the table for the residents of the Connecticut 33rd State Senate District? My track record speaks for itself. In Jeffery Duigou you have a well seasoned professional with 40 years of business and public service experience. I have
improved lives in many of the 169 towns in Connecticut by fixing issues within our
communities by managing complex projects to completion within budget and on-time. I
am well connected and respected within Connecticut.

My focus will be on you and our children’s future and pursuit of happiness. Isn’t that the
American Dream? Doesn’t it seem like old worn out politicians have lost their way and
have run out of ideas to benefit our communities by continuing to legislate additional
mandates or tax burdens? How is the mandated “Public Benefit” on your electric bill
working out for your household budget?

I’m well connected with people across the region that will help with fixing the concerns
within our District. I’ll bring fresh individual and family friendly ideas to the General
Assembly in Hartford. We will streamline taxes, get rid of unnecessary mandates and
government waste which handcuffs our working and middle class families and seniors
trying to make ends meet.

Representing you in the district with a new and promising outlook will relieve the stress put upon us caused by recycled career politicians whom are concerned about creating laws that work toward their own personal interests and forget about those left behind in a wave of high inflation caused by their legislative actions.

Vote for a much needed change in Connecticut and the direction we need to go. Vote
Duigou (Do-we-go) on November 5, 2024 and I encourage you to bank your vote early
on or after October 21, 2024. Let’s get started onto a brighter future for us all!
