HVFC Auxiliary Hosts Annual Vendors Fair November 10th

Submitted by Mary Nork

(October 21, 2024) — The Haddam Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary will hold its 13th Annual Vendors Fair on Sunday November 10, 2024  at 439 Saybrook Road in the Fire House Hall from Noon to 3:00 p.m.

This fair raises money for the Haddam Fuel Bank from a percentage of sales made on that date. In the past our town residents have been eager to purchase items sold at the fair for Christmas gifts or just something they would like for their own décor, knowing their purchase will be helping someone to stay warm this winter.  This fair also allows for an additional opportunity to raise funds by creating raffle baskets from donated vendor items. Raffle tickets will be sold in December with proceeds being given to the Fire Department to purchase toys to be given out at their annual Christmas party.

Doors will be open to the public at Noon. This year we will have seventeen vendors displaying a variety of goods for sale. Some of the items you may find there will be: beautiful hand-designed and hand-sewn gifts and decorative items “From the Heart”; “Auntie Arwen’s Spices,” with a wonderful array of hand-blended spices; “Bread For Heat” with their very delicious breads, baked by the parishioners of the United Congregational Church of Haddam and Higganum; “Al’s Shells,” a beautiful assortment of shells hand painted as ornaments and trinkets; “Another Round Candles,” a unique choice of soy candles in bottles; “Wholly Goat Farm,” which makes soap and other goat-made products; and “Holly Jolly Crafts,” which offers holiday ornaments and decor items.

Additionally there will be woodworking items, crochet items, art transfers to totes and coasters, fragrances and diffusers, local photos as cards suitable for framing, and handmade pottery.  It should be an interesting event with so much to browse and choose from.  Admission is free, with plenty of parking, making for a pleasant shopping experience. Please come to support local vendors and the Haddam Fuel Bank.
