Dog License/Transfer Station Sticker Time is Getting Close

(April 26, 2023) — The Town Clerk’s office wants to remind you that June is Dog Licensing Month. Licensing starts on Thursday, June 1, 2023, and must be completed before June 30th or a penalty will be imposed pursuant to Sec. 22-338 of the State of Connecticut General Statutes. You will be receiving a renewal notice reminder in the mail soon.

Fee Schedule:

Neutered/Spayed: $8

Male/Female: $19

Late Penalty: $1 per month

You can obtain a license at the Town Clerk’s office:

Monday – Wednesday: 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Thursday: 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Friday: 8:30 a.m. – Noon

For your convenience- renew your license by mail.

Please provide a copy of your current/updated rabies info, updated spayed/neutered certificate and a check. Make check payable to Town of Haddam with a self-addressed stamped return envelope to:

Please advise us if:

1. You are no longer a resident here.

2. Your dog is no longer in your possession.

3. If you have a new dog (supply new data)

In addition to licensing your dog in June, Transfer Station Passes will be available for purchase starting Thursday, June 1, 2023.

Fee Schedule:

$100 or $50 for residents 65 or older. There is a limit of two Transfer Station stickers per Haddam residence. Transfer Stickers are “buy one, get one at 50% off” if applied to the same household.

No box trucks or vehicles larger than a two yard/10,000 Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) will be allowed to purchase a sticker. COMMERCIAL USE IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Anyone found abusing this will have their Transfer Station sticker revoked for one (1) year and the Resident State Trooper will be contacted immediately.
