(September 5, 2023)— Vehicle 1, a motorcycle, was traveling West on Route 156 in the town of Old Lyme approaching the Mile Creek Road intersection. Vehicle 1 ran off the right side of the roadway, experienced a rollover, and came to final rest on the front lawn of a church. Operator 1 was ejected from the vehicle. Operator 1 was transported to Shoreline Clinic in Westbrook and was later pronounced deceased. The accident is under active investigation.
