By Connecticut State Police.
(July 5, 2023)—On 7/4/2023 at approximately 1221 hours, Troop F (Westbrook) was dispatched to a motor vehicle crash located in the area of 679 Old Clinton Road, Westbrook.
For an unknown reason, Vehicle #1, a 2002 Honda Accord bearing CT registration BE54716, left the roadway striking a tree.
Operator #1, Nathaniel Appell (5/12/2004), of 36 Old Boston Post Road, in Westbrook, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The case remains active and under investigation.
