(August 5, 2023) — With schools heading back into session in just a few weeks and the dog days of August nearing, Connecticut’s annual tax-free week is returning, giving residents savings on clothing and shoes from Sunday, August 20, to Saturday, August 26, 2023.
Clothing and shoes priced under $100 will have their 6.35% sales tax waived, though certain products like athletic equipment and jewelry are not included. The tax-free week has been in place in Connecticut since 2000.
