Cards Wanted for COVID-19 Floor at Veterans Hospital

Editorial Staff.

(April 10) — Jan Stevens of Killingworth works at the West Haven Veterans Hospital, on the designated COVID-19 floor. “You can imagine how lonely and isolated these veterans are feeling,” Jan explains. So she had the idea that if any adults or children wanted to write cards or letters to cheer up the veterans, she would be happy to deliver them to the patients. She will be placing a box outside of The Thirsty Gull (formerly June’s Outback Pub) at 184 Route 81, Killingworth.

Get out your pens, crayons, paper, typewriter, laptop and draw a picture, write a letter, sign a card. Send some love to a veteran!

Jan will pick up the cards and letters and hand deliver them to a deserving veteran.
