Boys Tennis 2022: HKHS Defeated by Lyme-Old Lyme 5-2

(May 17, 2022)—The Haddam Killingworth High School Boys Tennis team lost a Shoreline Conference match to Lyme-Old Lyme on the H-K courts on Monday, May 16, 2022.  Cougars Co-Captain Eddie White won at #1 singles, and Bryce Leiberman was victorious at #2 singles for H-K, while the #1 doubles team of Joe Wessinger and Gus Luzietti lost a hard-fought match to Lyme-Old Lyme’s team of Micah Bass and Nikolai Stephens-Zumbaum 3-6, 6-7, in a match decided by a tie-break score of 5-7. Lyme-Old Lyme won the other singles and doubles matches in straight sets.

#2 Singles  Bryce Leiberman (H-K) d. Griffin McGlinchey (OL) 6-1, 6-1
#3 Singles  Will Danes (L-OL) d. Joe Mercier (H-K) 6-0, 6-3
#4 Singles  Aidan Kerrigan (L-OL) by forfeit

#1 Doubles  Bass/Stephens-Zumbaum (L-OL) d. Wessinger/Luzietti (H-K) 6-3, 7-6 TB 7-5
#2 Doubles  Sicuranza/Klier (L-OL) d. Stephens/Lirot (H-K) 6-0, 6-2
#3 Doubles  Hine/Bicic (L-OL) by forfeit
