(December 10, 2022) —Alan Daniel Height, 75, of Higganum, beloved husband of Nancy (Couture) Height, died peacefully with family at his side, Wednesday December 7, 2022 at his home.
Alan was born in Hartford, son of the late Dan A. Height and Irene (Mattis) Height. Prior to his retirement, Alan was employed as a senior draftsman for Pratt and Whitney and Belcam, Inc.
Alan loved camping with his family, traveling, especially to Disney World where he would ride every roller coaster he could; and he loved vacationing at the beach in Scarborough, Maine. Alan was also huge Elvis fan. Alan was also very active with his three dogs, Patches, Spice and his buddy, Zip-A-Dee.
Besides his wife of 53 years Nancy, Alan is survived by four sons, Daniel Height and his wife Wendy of Haddam, Keith Height and his wife Jennifer of Moodus, Bradlee Height of Higganum, Joshua Height and his wife Keri of New Hampshire, two brothers, Kenneth Height and his wife Debra of Florida, Roger Height and his wife Susan of Bloomfield, five grandchildren, Colby and his wife Leeauna, Marley, Samantha, Keegen and Aivy, also several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Joan Height.
Funeral services will be held Friday December 16, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver Street, Middletown. Friends who wish may pay their respects on Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
