(March 30, 2024) — A Little Compassion, Inc. (ALC) proudly announces the return of the highly anticipated Lantern Illumination Celebration, now in its fifth year. This beautiful  event will take place at Valley Regional High School in Deep River on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 6:30 p.m.

The Lantern Illumination Celebration is a beacon of unity, celebrating the light within the neurodiverse community.  Participants will let their creative juices flow when they  decorate their own eco-friendly lanterns, creating their own work of art representing their hopes, dreams, and favorite things.  Together, the 300 + lanterns will become a  mesmerizing display of light. The lanterns will then return home with each participant to remember the special night.

Those attending will enjoy an evening filled with food, music, and fun activities suitable for all ages.  This year ALC is unveiling a fresh addition to the celebration, and will feature a Neurodiverse Artist Showcase, highlighting the incredible talents within the neurodiverse community. You can also indulge in tasty treats served from the vintage Nest Coffeehouse trailer!

ALC is thrilled to offer a pay-what-you-can fee structure to the community to help  support the event and their programs.  No one will ever be turned away due to an inability to pay.  ALC is committed to fostering a family-friendly and accessible environment for individuals of all abilities, which will include sensory-friendly quiet and sensory-seeker areas for all.

For more information about the Lantern Illumination Celebration and A Little Compassion, Inc.’s initiatives, please visit our website at www.alittlecompassion.org or contact The Nest Coffee House at 860-322-8090.

Attendance will be limited, so you are encouraged to register soon for an unforgettable evening of hope, unity, and connection at the Fifth Annual Lantern Illumination Celebration. Let’s help light the path towards acceptance and inclusion of people of all abilities.
