Christine Cohen has done an outstanding job as our Senator from the 12th Senatorial District and deserves to be re-elected. Her accomplishments fiscally and legislatively are numerous.
As a Board Member of River Valley Transit, I have seen first-hand Christine’s dedication to promoting safety on our roads and supporting area bus transportation. Her strong support and leadership resulted in the inclusion of $10.5 million in the state budget to continue our Micro-transit/Extra Mile Program in Madison, Guilford, Old Saybrook, Centerbrook, Essex Village, Westbrook and Middletown.
As prior Chair of the Environment Committee, Christine has been a strong advocate for banning PFAS “forever chemicals” from firefighting foam, food packaging, and other items to keep our water free of these chemicals. PFAS is an issue in Killingworth and we are thankful to Christine for working closely with our town to support remediation efforts. I look forward to voting to re-elect Christine Cohen as our Senator. Please join me.
Joan Gay, Killingworth
