(September 11, 2026) — The Domestic and Sexual Violence Awareness and Prevention Committee (DSVAP) of the Killingworth Women’s Organization (KWO) is celebrating the Women’s Federation International Day of Service, on September 26, 2026 with a local project.
Members of the committee (photo above) have collected donations from organization members and are assembling “Welcome Baskets” for residents who are leaving a local women’s shelter where they have been protected from domestic violence. The baskets, assembled by DSVAP committee members, will contain essential household items for residents setting up their new homes. Baskets contain kitchen and bathroom items as well as bedding for the women and their children.
