We are excited for a fun summer grounded in positive youth development, family time and community connections! This year we are offering some new programs. Check it out!

HK Girls on the Run: Girls entering Grades 3r through 6 are encouraged to join us for a one-week HK Girls on the Run minicamp! This program empowers young girls to build confidence and positive friendships, strengthen self-esteem, and gain a love for physical/emotional health and wellness. We will explore the trails of Parmelee Farm in Killingworth; and we’ll laugh, dance, craft, and have lots of fun!
Dates: July 6-10, 2026

Who: Girls, Grades 3 through 6

“Be You at the Barn” Nothing is more important than raising self-confident, resilient, and empowered youth. “Be You at the Barn” is a one-week program for youth ages 8-12. This fun camp will bring kids together with horses and peers in a safe farm environment. Co-facilitated by the HKYFS Director and Clinician, “Be You at the Barn” utilizes on-the-ground equine/adventure activities, games, and crafts to learn more about horses, ourselves, each other, and community.

Teen Trail Blazers: This summer, teens in Grades 7 and up are invited to join us for exciting adventures to places like Lake Compounce, Six Flags, Brownstone Adventure Park, and more. This is the perfect way to spend time with friends, make new friends, and have tons of fun.
Dates: July 13, 2026 (Lake Compounce) August 17, 2026 (Brownstone Adventure Park)
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (See HKYFS website for more details on each trip)
Who: Youth in Grades 7-12

New Heights with Outside Perspectives: This isn’t Camp. This is a week of adventure that builds confidence, connection, and real-world resilience. This program is designed for those who are ready to try new things, build confidence, and connect with others. These daily adventure trips include rock climbing, canoeing, hiking, and more! Spots are limited to twelve participants for a small, supportive group experience. While the program takes place outdoors, no prior experience is required. All supplies are provided, cost is kept low, and scholarship is available.

Teen Impact Week: Make a Difference. Make Memories. Join us for a three-day Teen Impact Week where purpose meets fun! This experience is designed for teens who want to give back to their community while enjoying exciting summer activities with friends and community members. *Pro Tip: Event participation can count toward your community service hour requirements!*
Kick things off with two meaningful service projects that empower you to make a real impact, whether it’s supporting local organizations, beautifying community spaces, or lending a hand where it’s needed most. Then, shift gears and celebrate your hard work with two activities packed with fun and adventure: A fully loaded video game bus and outdoor lawn games with friends one day, followed by a trip to Brownstone Adventure Park with friends to soak in the summer vibes. Following the final day of service, celebrate with an outdoor lunch provided by HKYFS. It’s the perfect mix of service, connection, and fun—because making a difference should feel this good.
