(August 18, 2025) — Join us in congratulating Haddam Volunteer Fire Company Junior Division member Evan Estelle of Haddam for completing the six-day Advanced Skills and Concepts (ASAC) cadet firefighting program at the Connecticut State Fire Academy!
This intensive program builds upon the Introduction to the Fire Service (ITTFS) program,
focusing on teamwork, leadership, vehicle extrication, radio communication, high-angle rescue, and fireground operations.
HVFC Chief Sam Baber, Firefighter John Shettleworth, and Captain Greg Duval attended the graduation ceremony (photo above, left to right, with Evan Estelle, center) and live demonstration that showcased what the cadets learned during the program.
